Jeanette M. Brubaker March 25, 1925 - March 28, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Jeanette Margeret (Rossner) Brubaker passed away at home surrounded by the love of her devoted family. She was born on March 25, 1925, in Mishawaka, to Vernal (Conger) and George Rossner. Jeanette graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1943, and shortly after, was employed at Eberhart Golf Course where she met her future husband, Ray. On March 24, 1944, Jeanette and Ray were married in the Chapel at Yale University, where Ray was stationed. Through the years, she also worked at BallBand and Grissom Middle School. Jeanette was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Fenske of Michigan City, IN, and a daughter, Susan Lynn, who passed away in 1964 at the age of 6. Jeanette is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ray Junior, and by her sister, Patricia Satrom of Coarsegold, CA. She is also survived by her children, Corbin (Robin) of Sorrento, FL, Ritchie (Nancy) of Mishawaka, Michael (Patricia) of Elkhart and Beth Ann of Nappanee; her grandchildren, Leanne (Reed) Waller, Jennifer (Shane) Hammons, Lyndsey (Tim) Callan, Anne (Philip) Reed, Jacob (Cami) Brubaker, Nichole Stewart, Patrick Stewart and Joshua Hahn; and her 11 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Sam and Wyatt Hammons, Emily, Allison and Madelyn Callan, Simon and Lucy Reed, Silas and baby Brubaker. Jeanette was a lifetime member of Coalbush United Methodist Church. Her favorite hobbies included bowling, golf, bridge, painting, and crochet. Jeanette's greatest joy was any gathering that included family and the opportunity to hold the newest grandchild. She was a devoted wife and a woman of strong faith and quiet humility. Her gentle spirit will be greatly missed. The family would like to acknowledge the kindness of caregivers from the Center for Hospice, and relatives and friends who have generously given their time, love, and prayers. Services will be Monday, March 31st, in the Memorial Chapel at Sanctuary at St. Paul's, 3602 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
