Margaret L. Davis Sept. 23, 1921 - Aug. 27, 2014 EDWARDSBURG - Margaret Louise Davis, 92 years old, formerly of Garver Lake, passed to her rest on August 27, 2014, while a resident at Greencroft of Goshen. She was born September 23, 1921, in Richland County, Ohio, the daughter of William A. and Margaret J. (Hoverstick) Wages, and had lived in Michiana for many years. Margaret worked for C.T.S. in Elkhart for several years and retired from there in 1982. She was a member of the CTS Quarter Century Club, the Order of Eastern Star-Chapter 257, Cassopolis, the Auxiliary of Saladin Shrine of Grand Rapids, and the Loyal Order of the Moose #0582 of Three Rivers, MI. She enjoyed playing golf with her lady friends at Four Lakes Country Club in Edwardsburg. Margaret was married October 5, 1940, in Cassopolis, to LaMar Davis, and he passed on February 16, 2005. Others who have passed are a grandson, Freddie Lohroff, a great-great-grandson, and her parents. Surviving are their children, Karen Louise Haas of Clearwater, FL, Patricia Ann (John) Dorn of St. Joe, MI, Sandra Lee (James) Lovely of Edwardsburg and Phyllis Jean (Tim) Nusbaum of Elkhart. There are nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She also has one sister-in-law, Mavis Wages of Niles. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, August 30, 2014, from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Hope United Methodist Church, 69941 Elkhart Rd., Edwardsburg, where the Service of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Brenda Gordon, United Methodist Minister. Interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, north of Niles. Arrangements are by the Paul E. Mayhew, 26863 West Main Street, Edwardsburg, Michigan 49112-0024.
