SODUS - Ronald Robaska Sr., 65, of Sodus, MI passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs with Chaplain Scott Labbe officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory of Ronald may do so online at www.heritage-chapel.com. Ronald was born November 11, 1948 in South Bend, IN to Richard & Loretta (Wiatrolik) Robaska. Ronald graduated from Washington High School in South Bend, IN. He served his country in the United States Army from 1967 until 1969 and received three Purple Hearts. On September 20, 1969 he married the love of his life, Janis Zellers in South Bend, IN. Ronald was a Police Officer for Berrien Springs / Oronoko Township and retired in 1985 after 15 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 284 in South Bend, The Friends for Berrien Springs, and participated in the Lest We Forget Organization. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ronald is survived by his children, Ronald (Denise) Robaska Jr. of Berrien Springs, Kevin (Nancy) Robaska of Phoenix, AZ, and Kimberly (Jason) Boldt of Sodus; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Dalton, Jake, Madison, Mitchell, Josie, and Van; brother, Robert (Annie) Robaska of Mishawaka, IN and sister, Debra (Chris) Noetzel of South Bend, IN. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janis in 2007 and brother Richard Robaska Jr.
