Frances (Kidd) Connelly, age 87, of Kingston, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Bay Path in Duxbury. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Ada (Roberts) Kidd. Frances enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing bridge. She was a member of the Mary Drew Sewing Circle and of the First Unitarian Alliance in Kingston. Frances was the beloved wife of the late Roger A. Holmes and John F. Connelly; devoted mother of Pamela Holmes Carr and her husband Dennis of Scott, La., John D. Connelly of Malden, Norman T. Connelly of Kingston, Roger A. Holmes and his wife Mary Beth of Onset, and the late Susan Schutt and Christine Ladd; loving grandmother of James Owens, Eric Owens, Melissa Owens, Tara Thurber (Butch), Preston T. Blair (Cassie), Penelope Blair, Douglas Ladd, Jessica Connelly, Alicia Holmes, Sabrina Scanlon (Adam); and great-grandmother of seven; dear sister of Richard Kidd of Pembroke, and the late Mitchell Tulane Kidd Jr., Eugene Kidd and William Kidd. Memorial visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston, Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. Interment services will be private.
