Harold T. Ireland, 45, of East Wareham, died Nov. 28, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was the husband of Melanie A. (Hill) Ireland. He was born in Brockton and lived in East Wareham since 1995. Harry graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational High School. Harry worked as an automotive/marine mechanic. He also served on the Wareham Fire Department as a Call Firefighter. He enjoyed 4 wheeling, rock-crawling, hunting, whittling, and trying to play the harmonica. Harry was always there to help anyone who needed it. Survivors include his wife, Melanie A. (Hill) Ireland; his mother, Linda J. Ireland of Plymouth; his father, Hilston J. Ireland and his wife Debra of Brockton; a son, Matthew Ireland of East Wareham; a daughter, Kelsey Ireland of East Wareham; a brother, Michael F. Ireland and his wife, Brenda of East Wareham; his mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and June Hill of Bridgewater, a sister-in-law, Colleen Dattolie and her husband, Vinny of Norton; a brother-in-law Brian Hill of Middleboro, his Uncle Mike and Aunt Brenda Herlihy of Wareham; his Uncle Terry Herlihy of Bridgewater; his Uncle Tom Herlihy of Hyannis; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Margarets Church, Buzzards Bay. Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
