John J. Ebert Obituary
John J. Ebert, 68, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Easton, passed away July 10, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Elena (Kyznezova) Ebert of Moscow, Russia. Born in Revere on June 23, 1945, a son of the late John E. and Lucille (Belles) Ebert, he was raised in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the US Navy. A graduate of the Massachusetts State Police Academy, he was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a State Police Officer working out of the Norwell and Middleboro barracks. John was a black belt in Karate and a dedicated state trooper for many years until being injured during an accident scene and had to retire from the force. After studying various holistic healing venues, John passionately taught, encouraged, and healed many people throughout twenty-two countries with Reiki, NLP, Yoga Nidra, rebirthing and fire walking. His most passionate and rewarding experiences were working with Mother Theresa for several years in Calcutta, India. Other memorable places where he taught and healed were the Ukraine, Greece, Italy, and Russia where he met and married his wife of 13 years. In addition to his wife Elena, he is survived by his two adult children, Peter J. Ebert of Warwick, RI., and Lisa M. Ebert Healey of East Hampstead, NH.; his grandchildren, Victoria Ebert, Mikayla Ebert, Josh Pierce, John Pierce, Nicara Pierce and Sean Healey. He was also the brother of the late Susan Ebert.
