Obituary Condolences

John Joseph Killilea, 88, of Hanson, died peacefully Feb. 3, 2013, at South Shore Hospital. He served in the 411th Infantry regiment in France during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism and the Purple Heart. He worked as a sales manager in the dry cleaning industry for 35 years and later as a department manager at the Westin Hotel in Boston until his retirement. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Norma Louise (Roeblad) in 1993, they were married in 1947, he is survived and lovingly remembered by son, Robert B. Killilea and his fiance Karen M. Jordan of Hanson; daughters, Linda J. Reeve of Hanson and Paula J. Killilea of New Seabury; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home Friday at 12 p.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
