John K. Larkin Obituary
John K. Larkin of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, formerly of Plymouth, passed away May 15, 2014, at Aberdeen Hospitals Palliative care unit, at the age of 69. John was born in Montague, P.E.I., later moved to Massachusetts with his family where he resided for 50 years. John was a United States Army veteran who served his country in Vietnam. He continued his Army career stationed at West Point for seven years, then in Korea for a year, returning home to Massachusetts at Ft. Devens, where he retired as a Staff Sergeant. John was predeceased by his father, James V., mother, Lucy, stepmother, Violet, and brothers, Kent, Franklin, and William. John will be missed by his twin brother, James Larkin and wife Jean; sisters, Gladys (Rusty) Larkin and husband George and Donna Ellis and husband Steve; nephew, Kevin Larkin and wife Melissa; and nieces, Melissa Larkin, Sonya Boudreau and husband J.D., and Nicole Evon and husband Shawn; his 4 great-nephews; and 2 great-nieces; his aunt, Ann Larkin; as well as many other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. July 7, 2014, at St. Mary Parish in N. Plymouth, preceding his final interment at Vine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a remembrance donation may be made to the Boston Medical Center Palliative Care.
