Louis T. Colombo, age 84, of Carver, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband for 61 years of Helen (Newell) Colombo; father of Alexander Allie Colombo and his fiancee Debbie Rubicine, and Jean Skelly and her husband Peter; grandfather of Anthony Colombo and Justin and Courtney Skelly; brother of Delia Lessard and Salvatore Colombo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Millie Briguglio. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Wednesday 3-7 p.m. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 8 a.m. for a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 9 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. It was Lous wish that donations in his name be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, specify Breast Cancer Research, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, in honor of the women in his life with the disease.
