Robert W. Kean, 64, of Avon, died peacefully at home Dec. 15, 2013, after recently being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Raised in Avon, he was a retired union construction worker. He raised his family in Brockton, returning to Avon in recent years. Bob enjoyed fishing and was a Boston sports fan. He was the beloved husband of Claudia (Williams) Kean for 34 years; loving father of Robert D. Kean of Taunton and Amanda Kean of Brockton; dear Papa of Christian Kean; brother of Donna Mullen of Raynham, Jim Kean of Plymouth, Bill Kean (and Maureen) of Stoughton, Larry Kean (and Patty) of Texas and Sharon Donovan of New Bedford; and a brother-in-law and uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday, Dec. 21, 1-5 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, followed by a celebration of his life at Avon VFW Post 8892.
