Ronald Joseph Ticchi of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Feb. 26, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was 62. A native of Bridgewater, Mass., Ron was the beloved son of the late James and Frances (Sawicki) Ticchi. Ron graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School with National Merit Finalist honors in 1969. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1973, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Ron loved the Midwest and, after college, made his home in Ohio and raised his family there. He was a devoted father who counted his family as the crowning achievement and greatest blessing of his life. Ron was an executive with the Chuck Muer Corporation and Prudential Securities and enjoyed archery, model railroading, carpentry and reading. He remained a loyal, lifelong fan of Boston sports teams and cheered the Red Sox on to their three World Series championships. Ron is survived by his beloved children, Samantha Ticchi-Junkins (Josh Junkins), Sally Ticchi (Michael Donohue), and Craig Ticchi; his cherished grandchildren, Tripp Donohue and Avonlea Jane Junkins; his former wife, Cathi Vaughan; and his spirited dog, Larry - all of Toledo. He is also survived by his dear sister, Donna Maria Ticchi of Wellesley, Mass.; and many cousins.
