Scott B. Lemee, 90, of Vero Beach, Fla., died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Indian River Medical Center. He was born January 17, 1923 in Bridgewater, Mass. and had been a resident of Vero Beach, Fla., for 22 years, coming from Ashfield, MA. Mr. Lemee was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served as Platoon Sergeant. He worked ten years for the Bridgewater Police Department where he served as Sergeant for 5 years. He later worked as staff adjuster for Motors Insurance Corp in Boston, MA, Burlington, VT and Syracuse, NY. Prior to his retirement in 1987, he served as supervising appraiser and claim examiner for Kemper Insurance serving Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA and Springfield, MA. Mr. Lemee was a member of the VFW in Bridgewater, Ashfield Golf Club, Worthington Golf Club in Worthington, MA, Dodger Pines Country Club in Vero Beach and Hilltown Snowmobile Club in Ashfield, MA. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Fay L. Lemee of Vero Beach; daughter, Joyce A. Danello of Sarasota, Fla; sons, Scott B. Lemee of Port Crane, NY and Earl Bradford Lemee of Evergreen, CO; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Bevis Lemee in 1960; sisters, Greta Johnston and Irva M. Miller and brother, Albert R. Lemee. Inurement will be held at Ashfield Plain Cemetery at a later date.
