William H. Best Jr., 66, of East Bridgewater, MA died suddenly on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born on March 12, 1947 in Quincy, MA and had been a resident of East Bridgewater for 8 years. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was currently very happily employed as a Sales Engineer at Trumbull Campbell Associates in Newburyport, MA and had been in the HVAC industry for the last 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, fixing anything and everything and spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Susan MacElhaney Best of East Bridgewater; daughter, Jennifer L. Tranfaglia and son-in-law, Joseph Tranfaglia of Bridgewater; son, William T. Best and Maya Chaprut of Newton, MA, and his four grandchildren, Faith, Luke, Hannah, and Max. He was predeceased by his sister, Judith Timberlake and parents, William H. Best and Kathryn Hopkins Best. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Cavanugh, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews of the MacElhaney and Best/Timberlake families. He was deeply loved by all of his family and will be missed more than words can express. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church located at 429 Monponsett St. in Hanson, MA 02341. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Calvary Baptist Church at the above address.
