Betty G. (Sanbrook) Bennette, age 88 , entered into eternal life Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. Betty was born and raised in Robinson, Australia, and had lived in Weymouth since 1946. Mrs. Bennette worked at the former Brookbend Nursing Home in Weymouth for many years. Mrs. Bennette proudly served in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in World War II, where she met and married the love of her life. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Bud E. Bennette, she was the devoted mother of James D. of Weymouth, Steven A. of Bonita Springs, Fla., Suzanne Higgins of Hull the late Mark W., Barbara D. Dugan and Richard L. Bennette; beloved sister of Ethel Williams of Dapto, N.S.W. Australia; loving grandmother to eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, Friday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
