Through it all, she had an inspiring attitude and remarkable spirit. Cheryl worked for 30 years in office administration at General Motors Parts Division before retiring. Cheryl was known for the splendid hats she wore to Congregational United Church, Florida, where she was a member. Cheryl enjoyed playing cards with friends, picking apples and blueberries for baking, and crocheting baby blankets. She loved shopping yard sales, planning festivities for every occasion, and traveling with her husband across the country. She will be deeply missed by her partner and lover of 25 years and husband and best friend of 11 years, Vinnie of Punta Gorda, Fla. Her passing will be profoundly felt by daughter, Lisa Jessick and husband Dennis; son, John Bridgers; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Bridgers; stepsons, Paul Grafton and Ed Grafton and wife Bonnie; and many touched by her thoughtfulness. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine (Wright) Mathews, and her sisters, Bonnie Brandi and Linda Eason.
