Dorothy L. (Logan) Shuman, age 76, formerly of Weymouth, died peacefully, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the South Shore Hospital. Dorothy was born in Weymouth, raised and educated in Weymouth schools and was a graduate of Weymouth High School. She has lived in Quincy for over fifty years. She was employed as a Quincy school bus driver for many years. Dorothy was a talented arts and crafts person and also enjoyed making jewelry. She was very interested in genealogy and was devoted to her family. Beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Shuman, Sr. Devoted mother of Joseph G. Shuman, Jr., Donna M. LaCara, Robin A. Shuman all of Quincy, Cindy A. Fennell of Kingston and John A. Shuman and his wife Debb of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also grandmother of the late David LaCara. Loving daughter of John Logan of S.C. and the late Dorothy Dolly (Sherman) Logan. Sister of Arlene Tavares of Brockton, Margaret Rabon of GA and Susan Wilson of S.C. Visiting hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Tuesday, Feb. 4th from 4 | 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
