Hugh S. Cox Jr. of Abington, died May 13, at age 89. He was the loving husband of M. Drusilla Cox of Abington; loving father of Richard Cox of N.C., William Cox of Whitman, James Cox of Texas, and Elizabeth Bevans of Abington; loving brother of the late Alice Schwertfeger. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Hugh served in the Philippines during World War II in the Army Air Force. He was the owner of Bemis Drug for 40 years and was a member of the Abington Knight of Columbus, Saint Vincent de Paul, and former bank director at Abington Bank. Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Friday, May 16, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington, 9 a.m. Visitation Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
