James A. Walorz Obituary
James A. Bossman Walorz, 85 years of age, passed away at his home in Braintree on Thursday, June 12, 2014. He was born in Braintree and went to Braintree Schools. He served in the Army during WWII. After the service, he began driving trucks. In the late 40s, he started his own trucking company named Walorz Trucking. He was still very active with his trucking business. Jim enjoyed driving in stock car races in his earlier years at the Norwood Arena. When he was 13, he flew with Amelia Earhart from the Squantum Airbase. Jim enjoyed dancing, music, and writing poetry. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Patriots. Jim also loved animals, especially dogs, as well as Italian and sea food. Jim is survived his wife Helen (Zagas) Walorz and his five children; James G. Walorz married to Joyce of Braintree, Mickey A. Walorz married to Betsy of Hanover, Susie MacAllister married to Allan of Plymouth, Lillian Murphy married to Joe of Braintree, and Jane Davis and her late husband Bob of Ft. Meyers, FL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, as well as the late Michael Walorz, and 14 great grandchildren. Jim leaves behind his sister, Ruth Gagliardi of Braintree. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Tuesday, June 17th from 4:00-8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 18th at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
