John D. Smooch Schmouth Jr., 69, of Brockton, died Aug. 25, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was employed by T.L. Edwards as a truck driver for over 20 years. He led a fulfilling life and loved flying, fishing, boating, scuba diving and target shooting. John was the beloved husband and best friend of Patricia (Brophy) (Flavell) Schmouth; father of Teri Taylor and her husband Carl of Tiverton, R.I., Lori Schmouth of Brockton, John Schmouth of Taunton and Michelle Flavell of Weymouth; a grandfather and great-grandfather of many; lifelong friend of Bob Gallagher of Marshfield. Following cremation, all are welcome to a celebration of Johns life Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton.
