John J. OMalley, age 72, died at home, peacefully, Friday, March 29, 2013. He was born in North Adams, raised in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of the former Roxbury Memorial High School. He has lived in Quincy for over seventeen years. John was employed as a printer for many years. He worked for several companies during his career, including Bowne of Boston. He has been retired for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. John was well known for his sense of humor and was an avid sports fan. Beloved husband of the late JoAnn (Conroy) OMalley. Loving companion for twenty years of Anne M. Phillips of Quincy. Dear brother of Patrick OMalley and his wife Mary of Randolph and the late Richard OMalley. Also survived by one niece and two nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Wednesday, April 3rd at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy at 10 oclock.
