Kathleen Gail Ridlon (Hooper), 58 years of age, of Brockton, formerly of Whitman, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 3, 2014. She was born in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School. She subsequently graduated from the Shepard Gill School of Practical Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at various facilities throughout the South Shore. She took great pride in her work caring for others as a nurse. She was a Braintree resident for 20 years where she raised her family before moving to Whitman. She is survived by her mother Mary H. Archibald of Taunton. Kathleen was the loving mother of Katie Elizabeth Ridlon of Quincy and Ricky Adam Ridlon of Whitman. She is survived by her brother David Archibald of Taunton, her sister Deborah Smith of Braintree and her cousin Junie Frazier of Holbrook. Kathleen was the former wife of Richard A. Ridlon. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree, on Tuesday, July 15, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St., Braintree on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. All those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the church.
