Neil P. Murphy, of Halifax, age 72, entered into eternal life in the presence of his family on Aug. 22, 2014. Neil was born and raised in Dorchester, lived in Braintree for many years until moving to Halifax 11 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Murphy was a clerk magistrate for the Boston Municipal Court. Beloved husband of Betty Ann (Bissett). Devoted father of William J. and his wife Jacqueline of Weymouth, Jennifer A. Murphy of Braintree, Neil P. Jr. and his wife Meghan of Wrentham, Joseph and his wife Danielle of Braintree. Stepfather of Laura Berlo and her husband Gary of Plympton, and Todd Fiorentino and his wife Allison of Plymouth. Beloved brother of William J. and his wife Rita of Quincy. Loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth on Wednesday Aug. 27 at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. Burial in Braintree Cemetery.
