William G. Bill Cappola of Whitman, died Jan. 9, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Hobart) Cappola of Whitman; loving father of William Cappola of Whitman, Diane Wallace of Halifax, James Hickey and his companion Michael Hopper of Brighton; cherished Papa of Olivia, David, Ryan and Taylor. Bill proudly served his country during the Korean conflict in the U.S. Army and was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. prior to the funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist, 44 School Street, Quincy, at 10 a.m. The burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
