Posey Franklin Fincher

PAULINE, SC-- Posey Franklin Fincher,83, of Pauline, died Saturday, April 5, 2013 at SRMC Hospice Home. Mr. Fincher was the husband of Joyce Lee McCurry Fincher and the son of the late Clarence and Ethel Jackson Fincher.
Mr. Fincher was of the Baptist Faith, served in the Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9539 of Spartanburg, SC. He was former owner and operator of Kool Car Center for more than 30 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Franklin Dwain Fincher and his wife Debbie; a step-son, James Tim Wilder and his wife Rhonda; a step-daughter, Tracie McCurry Smith and her husband Kenneth; a granddaughter, Brandie Fincher Cole and her husband Troy; four grandsons, Adam Dwain Fincher, Travis and Dustin Silvey, and Josh Smith; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Fincher Smith and her husband Robert.
Mr. Fincher is preceded in death by his son Kennyth Wayne Fincher and his step-daughter Tammy Silvey.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the VFW Post 9539.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9539 of Spartanburg, 325 Carolina Drive Extension, Roebuck, SC 29376.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM officiated by Reverend Alan Leonard. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens in Roebuck, SC.
