CHRISTIANSEN, Alan E. Alan was born December 6, 1932 in Spokane, WA to Arthur and Alice Christiansen and passed away April 11, 2014. He married Shirley Woodhurst June 12, 1954. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Alan served in the Army during the Korean War then went to work at the Telephone Company, retiring after 42 years of service. He enjoyed sports, especially the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Seattle Mariners. He also enjoyed staying connected with all of his family and friends on Facebook using his laptop computer. Alan is survived by his wife Shirley, sisters Joan and Shirley Ann (Mick), his children Alan (Lonna), Linda Ferraro (Orlando), John (Theresa), Amy White (Marty), David (Sandy), and Paul (Donna), 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with another one on the way, all of whom he loved dearly. One of the many things he will be remembered for is the gift he had for giving special nicknames to all of us. He made each one of us feel special with his unconditional love. He will be deeply missed by all of us. Viewing will be at Heritage Funeral Home, Thursday, April 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 18th at 12:00 Noon at Heritage with Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. A reception will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
