WEBB, Alison E. (Age 54) Passed away on November 21, 2013 near Palouse, WA. With great sadness it is the family's unfortunate duty to report the passing of Alison Elizabeth (Starr) Webb. Alison passed tragically on the afternoon of Thursday, November 21, 2013, while kayaking on the Palouse River with her faithful canine companion, Binx. Alison was born in San Diego, California on May 3, 1959 to Kathryn (Harding) and David Starr. Alison grew up in San Diego where she developed a lifelong passion for the water. Becoming a mother was Alison's greatest joy, and she literally devoted her life to the well being of her two daughters. She eagerly shared the enormous pride of her two daughters with anyone who would listen. With the well being of her girls in mind, she packed up and left the big city life for the slower paced life in the rolling hills of the Palouse. Alison and her girls settled in the town of Palouse where Alison met the love of her life, Ralph Webb. Shortly after marrying Ralph, Alison was diagnosed with the late stage of an aggressive form of breast cancer. Her husband at her side, Alison began the fight of her life. With the support of her loving husband, and her own positive spirit, Alison defied the odds and beat the disease into full remission. As a cancer survivor, Alison rediscovered a passion for the outdoors, and in particular rekindled her love of the water in the form of the sport of Kayaking. Alison grew to love the small town life in Palouse. She served on the Palouse City Council, and also enjoyed working at The Palouse Market. Her positive attitude, and infectious smile earned instant rapport with all who came through the doors at the market. Alison is survived by her beloved Husband Ralph; her daughters Danielle, and Stephanie; her stepson Jeff; her mother Kathryn (and her husband Clint Miller); her brother Darrel (wife Cindy); her sister Peggy (husband Andy); and a large extended family. Alison will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Services will be held at Palouse Federated Church on Saturday November 30, 2013 at 1 pm. with Rev. Corey Laughary officiating.
