JENSEN, Allen Wayne "Al" (Age 69) Al passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 in Spokane, WA. He was born on August 15, 1944 in Pasco, WA to Victor and Eleanor (Forgey) Jensen. While growing up in Lind, WA, he played sports and graduated from Lind High School in 1963. He worked on wheat farms in the Lind area, planted trees in the summer for Weyerhaeuser in the Seattle area, and then joined the U.S. Navy. Al served aboard the Destroyer USS Cogswell DD651 that provided support for our nation during the Vietnam War. Al worked in the US Postal Service terminal for thirty three years and then retired. But retirement didn't slow him down. He enjoyed woodworking, and built many decks and sheds for his family, friends, and whoever needed one. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, rodeos, huckleberry picking, rock and roll music, camping, playing games, and carpentry. Al is survived by his wife, Carol (Weathermon) of forty years, and their pets; his sister, Sharon (Bill) Ford who lives in Kentucky; Val (Leroy) Watson in Lind, WA; his sister, Victoria Jensen in Spokane, WA; brothers, Carl (Bev) Jensen in Marysville, WA; and Ralph (Joyce) Jensen in Addy, WA; brother-in-law, Stephen Weathermon in Spokane, WA; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mom and dad, grandparents, and Leland and Christopher Woodard. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 3:00pm at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 1111 S. Thor St., Spokane, WA.
