BALDWIN, Douglas D. Doug was born in Elmsville, BC, Canada, on January 1, 1923 to Roy D. Baldwin and Jean M. Gifford. He had a brother Sedgefield and two sisters, Edith and Muriel. He was married to Deloris Bowersox; following her death, he married Esther Solam. He had four sons: Glen, Roy, Lyle, and David. Doug grew up in Wallace, ID, was drafted into service, sent for infantry training in Texas, and then transferred to a cadet program in the Army Air Force. He went to SW University in Memphis, TN, where he was privileged to study branch courses through Harvard University. Doug subsequently moved to Illinois, San Francisco, Hawaii and finally to Guam. Afterwards, he want to U of ID to study Horticulture. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood as a fitter for 30 years until he retired. Doug was a member of the Masons, loved to travel, sing, play the harmonica, gamble, fish, and visit with friends. His friends at Park Place miss him greatly.
