FULLER, Fay (Ashlin) (Age 94) Left us to join her mother Grace, her father Fred Ashlin, and her husband Jack and son Thomas Fuller on January 11, 2014. She was a native of Spokane, WA, born here. Graduated from the old Washington Grade School and Lewis and Clark High School. She was married to Jack Fuller for 50 years and is survived by one grandson, Brad Fuller and his wife Terry of Buckley, WA; nieces, Brenda Fuller Phillips, Nancy Ashlin Hoagj and Carol Ashlin McKinney; and sister-in-law, Bernice Ashlin. Fay worked as a "teenager" as Head Usherette at the old Post St. Theater while finishing school, then took work at the downtown Newberrys over the holidays, and married Jack Fuller in 1937. Later she worked in the office at the Elks Club on Riverside. After her son was raised, she volunteered with the Red Cross and was on "Escort Duty" at the Vets Hospital for four years. Her husband was made branch manager for Prudential Insurance in 1961 and they moved to Walla Walla, where Fay worked at the Old National Bank until 1979 when Jack retired and they moved to Issaquah, WA. Jack died in 1988 and Fay moved back to her hometown of Spokane, WA, after taking care of her mother for two years. Fay moved into Lilac Plaza in 1997 where she took care of the parking area for four years. There will be no serves at her request and her cremains will be taken to the Pioneer's Cemetery out of Kendrick, ID.
