He attend- ed Logan Elementary and Rogers High School. After high school graduation he joined the US Marine Corps and proudly served over four years. In 1961 he met and married Verla Dickey and they were married 52 ½ years. Their first daughter Donna was born in 1962; followed by a son Rick in 1964; and a daughter Susan in 1965. Lee began his career with the US Post Office as a railroad relief clerk. He retired from the Post Office in 1998. Following retirement he enjoyed summers at their river property with his children, grandchildren and friends. Lee was a Cub Scout master, a longtime member and ordained deacon of Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church. He was a volunteer in the reading room at Jefferson Grade School until health prevented him from doing so. Whether it was locating a lost letter, helping someone move or shoveling a walkway he was always there to help and share a laugh. His special sense of humor and sense of service will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Verla; three children and spouses: Susan Green (Dave), Donna Warner (Harry), Rick Enright (Sharon); eight grandchildren; brother Dick Voege; sister Ethel Williams; numerous sisters-in law; brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairmount Flag Program in honor of Lee, Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church or Great Harvest Food Bank. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, therapist and caregivers who have cared for Lee.
