After the service Mike was employed by several companies but ended up working for Columbia Lighting for 31 years and retired in 1997. He was a local volunteer fire fighter in Fairfield, Washington and then for a S.C.O.P.E. office, after he moved to the Spokane Valley. He was known as a good friend to many people but spent most of his life helping his children and grandchildren. To his family, Mike was a Scout Troop Leader, the family chauffeur, a camping-fishing-hunting guru, the best big-wheeler handyman around, a snow fort architect, a math genius, a school mouse trap engineer, and, our hero. He was a true family man and will be greatly missed by all. The family will have a private service at a later date. To view Michael's online memorial please visit www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
