Born August 12, 1930, in Van Wert, OH, he was the son of the late Harry P. and Nellie M. (McClain) Dixon. A dedicated family man, Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, supportive brother and loyal friend to many. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, going to auctions and especially his dearly beloved game of bowling where he skillfully earned numerous awards and trophies before taking a spot on the sidelines to enjoy watching his friends hone their skills, ready to offer advice and encouragement.
