FULLER, Donald E. of Medina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Cleveland after a long battle with Myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disease. He was 76. Born in Springfield, Ohio and raised in North Hampton, Ohio he was the eldest son of Martha and Estol Fuller. A graduate of Northwestern High School, Don received both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from The Ohio State University. He was an avid Buckeye fan and a life member of The OSU Alumni Association, a life member of The President's Club and a Buckeye Club member. His long business career began at Nationwide and Midland Mutual in Columbus. He served as a senior executive at Westfield Companies, and subsidiaries of Harcourt General and American Broadcasting Companies. Don was a part owner of Lance & Company in Medina. With his wife, Cindy (his business partner for over 30 years), he founded Oakwood Financial Group, which merged with Merrill Lynch. Most recently he was Senior Wealth Strategy Advisor for Ruby Fuller Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services in Akron, Ohio. Don was a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and was a registered financial advisor for over 40 years. In addition to helping people with investing, Don enjoyed traveling especially to the Caribbean and specifically to Aruba, his favorite happy island. He was a Florida resident with a home in Osprey. He liked dining with friends and fine wine. During his life he played golf and was an accomplished duplicate bridge player. Don was a Founding Member of Blue Coats of Medina County. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John Fuller, and his grandson, Trevor Ramos. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, his son, Douglas (Julie) Fuller of Ft Worth, TX, his daughter, Allison Ramos, of Copley, OH, his brother, Bill (Mary) of Springfield, OH and grandchildren: Brandon Ramos, Colin, Meredith and Kent Fuller. His family will receive friends Friday, December 6, from 3-7:00 p.m., at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court St., Medina, OH. In lieu of flowers, Don's family would appreciate donations to The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, FBO Experimental Hematology, 9500 Euclid Ave DVB - 102A, Cleveland, OH 44195 or to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256. So very sorry to hear of Don's passing. What a class act. We have great memories of time spent with him, Cindy and Allison. He will be missed and our prayers go out to all of his family for help in healing. Hold tight to memories for comfort. With love and remembrance.
