News Death Notice

WALLACE, Dorothy Faye 67, of Springfield, departed this life Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law surrounded by her family. She was born February 13, 1945, in Paintsville, KY, the daughter of Randall and Annie Rose Goble. Dorothy graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a High School teacher for many years with the Springfield City Schools. She was a faithful Christian, a member of Woodside Church of Christ and Christian Union and was very dedicated to her work at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sybil Newsome. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Franklin D. Wallace; her daughters Lisa (Christopher) and Lori (Kevin); grandchildren Nick, Sara, Morgan, Madison, Maci, Cierra, Nevaeh and Katie. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Purdue Evangelistic Association, Urbana, OH. A service to honor Dorothy's life will be Saturday at 10:30 AM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rev. John Steven Wallace officiating.
