News Death Notice

HILLOCK, Nolan K. 59, of Springfield, died Friday September 6, 2013 in his residence after a short illness. He was born June 10, 1954 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of Chalta and Lamar Hillock. He was retired from RAWAC Plating as a plater. He was member of the Union Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles Champion Aerie 397. He was involved in the Special Olympics for many years. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, traveling and spending time with family and friends in Upper Michigan. Survivors include his mother Chalta (Graham) Hillock; sisters, Nilah Hillock and Kristene Hillock; brother, Myron Hillock all of Springfield; nieces and nephew, Kyle (Shelley) and sons Tyler and Alex, Brittany (Greg Ashmore) and Erin (Jay Bakhshi) and daughter Lyllian. Also a special dog Rex. He was preceded in death by his father, Lamar Hillock. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 in the Grace United Methodist Church, 1401 West Main Street, Springfield. Burial will be held at a later date in Cottle Cemetery in Pickford, Michigan. He will be greatly missed by his family, neighbors and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Developmental Disabilities of Clark County, 2527 Kenton Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
