News Death Notice
COHAGEN, Paul Edward 96, of Springfield, died Saturday morning, November 16, 2013 in Oakwood Village Glaesner Health Center. He was born in Philo, Ohio on June 29, 1917, the son of the late Rev. Amos and Georgia (Morris) Cohagen. Paul received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Lieutenant (j.g.). He worked as a cost accountant for Kelsey Hayes SPECO division for 38 years. He was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church. Paul volunteered his time and expertise in medical claims counseling and income tax preparation at United Senior Services. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy P. (Marks) Cohagen; two daughters, Gloria (Robert) Leedle of Newark, Delaware and Beverly Cordova of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, David (Bridgette) Leedle, Stephanie (Brian) Lesher and Maria Cordova; and three great grandchildren, Zach, Brett and Angela. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Lila Bober, Ruth Meade, Maribelle Kelly, and Wilma Jean. Paul's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeff Mullinix officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
