News Death Notice

CIRCLE, Richard Elden 86, of Orange County, California, previously a native of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 5, 2013 following complications from advanced age. Richard was born in Springfield, Ohio to Gertrude and Emerson Circle on July 8, 1926. He was the oldest son with two younger brothers, Stan and Cy Circle. During his early years in Ohio, he was an accomplished Eagle Scout and enjoyed playing sports. He attended Wittenberg College and graduated from Ohio State University in 1950 and remained a loyal Buckeye fan for life! Richard served in 3 branches of the military: Army, Navy and Merchant Marines before he ventured to California in 1954. He met the love of his life and best friend, Edith Mushrush, and they have shared 55 years of marriage. He worked most of his life in Frozen Food sales at Marshburn Farms, Cleugh's Rhubarb Company, Grimmway Farms and Frozsun Foods. His tireless hard work and commitment to his clients set the foundation in which his sons followed. He devoted his life to mission work through Covenant Presbyterian Church in Orange, CA where he was a member for 41 years. He was passionate about sharing the gospel. His friendly personality and calming presence endeared him to many as he touched countless lives. He was a loyal companion and adoring husband to Edie. He was a very involved father with his three sons, enjoying Indian Guides and scouting, as well as numerous sports and school activities. His legacy is carried forward in the lives of his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who he faithfully loved and supported. His fondest moments were spent with Edie and surrounded by family. His family will always remember his example as a husband, father and man of Godly-character. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Edie Circle, brother, Cy Circle and wife, Marlys and sister-in-law, Allene Circle-Rader of Springfield, Ohio. Three sons: Doug and wife, Jan, Craig and Steve, 6 grandchildren: Kyle, Brendan, Leah, Heather, James and Jacob, 2 great grandchildren: Katelyn and Brayden, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Orange, CA on June 29th at 10:30 am., 1855 N. Orange Olive Road, Orange, CA 92865 (714) 998-6650. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Covenant Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and caregivers who have provided care and support for Richard, they were each a blessing! The family extends their gratitude for all the love and support of friends and family. To our beautiful, strong and loving Richard - We love you and will miss you dearly! We will forever find joy in our memories until we see you again in Heaven!
