ALLISON, Robert Leslie 84 of Urbana, passed away, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Essex of Springfield. He was born October 29, 1927 in Springfield, Ohio the son of the late Hazel D. (Roach) and Leslie F. Allison. Bob served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Kenosha Auto Transportation. He was a member of the Bellefontaine Church of the Narzarene; where he served as a board member, choir director, adult Sunday school teacher and a Bible school teacher. He was also a member of the Local Union 654 retirees club, where he served as Vice President. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and singing. He is survived by his soulmate, partner, best friend & loyal companion, Merna Bise of Springfield, his children, Chris (Karen) Allison of Cridersville, Diana (Rick) Wagaman of Celina and Susie (Jim Bob) White of West Liberty; his grandchildren, Shane Wagaman, April Wilson, Sara Call, Zach Allison, Natalie White, Justin White, Todd White, Emily McKee and Cody White, great grandchildren, Jackson, Allison & Anna Call, Henry Wagaman, Kami & Keenan Wilson, Delaney & Greer McKee and Stratton & Ellie White; sisters, Lois (Ken) Noonan, Norma Jean Boysel and Ruth Ann Bailey and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marjorie (Foster) Allison and his sisters, Ruby Hill, Mabel Bates, Janice Smith and Janet Holbrook. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 in the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Neighoff officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
