Alfred John Glenn Sr., 80, former resident of St. Johns County, transitioned from labor to reward on Aug. 12, 2013, in Freeport, Texas. Mr. Glenn was a shrimper by trade and was formerly employed at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Serving his country, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by Mary Williams, Barbara Brown, Paul Glenn and Agnes Glenn.
Survivors include sons, Terry and Alfred J. Glenn Jr., and C. Jerome Frazier, all of St. Augustine, Raymond and Glenn Robert Batie, Tampa; daughters, Iris and Sandra Glenn, St. Augustine, Deborah and Patti Williams, brothers, Raymond Glenn, Harry (Alma) and Paul W. (Shirley) Glenn; sister, Molly Glenn, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chase Chapel.
