John W. Brewington, 82, of St. Augustine, died on April 26, 2013, at Flagler Hospital.

The youngest of 13 children, he was born in Center Point, Tenn., and moved with his family to St. Augustine at age 11. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a lineman for Southern Bell for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Nettie Smith, Johnny Day and Susie Brewington, all of St. Augustine; sons, Billy Roan of Cape Coral, Fla., John "Lucky" Brewington of Satsuma; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Clayton Roan.

Private services will be held.
