Sharon Lee Monteau, 66, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., died on Feb. 9, 2013.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Wed. Feb. 13, 2013, at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Mrs. Monteau was born Sharon Lee Mixon in Ocala, Fla., and grew up in Jacksonville. She was a 1964 graduate of DuPont High School and attended Andrew College, Cuthbert, Ga.
Mrs. Monteau is survived by her husband, Ronald Anthony Monteau, Sarasota; a daughter, Michelle Lee Monteau, Tampa, Fla.; a granddaughter, Rachael Lee Leake, Sarasota; a grandson, Jack Anthony Brignoni, Charleston, S.C.; her parents, Benjamin W. Mixon and Kathryn Glover Mixon, Jacksonville; a brother, Charles R. Mixon (Lisa); a nephew, Andrew Mixon (Laura); a niece, Ashley Wynne (Sean), all of Knoxville, Tenn.; an uncle, Mac Glover, Montgomery, Ala.; and many other relatives and friends.
