Cook, Jr., Charles B.
Charles Beckwith Cook, Jr, 85, of Moultonborough, NH passed away on July 14th with his loving family by his side. Charles was born on July 14, 1929 in Buffalo, NY to the late Charles Beckwith and Elaine Satterfield Cook.
Charles graduated Yale University in 1952 and served as a First Lieutenant in the US Army during the Korean War. In 1968, he became President of Hoppin Brothers Securities Corp. and successfully merged with Janney Montgomery Scott in 1978, where he remains Vice Chairman Emeritus.
In addition to his wife, Catherine Burnside Cook, Charles is survived by two sons, Charles Beckwith Cook lll, of Colchester, VT and Andrew Whiting Cook, of Greenland, NH and two daughters, Deborah Cook Legge, of Geneva, Switzerland and Rachel Cook Flanagan, of Needham, MA. Charles is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, CT from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, July 17th.
