DonnaMarie Rotante Morgano, 47 years old, formerly of Stamford, CT, passed away on January 24, 2013, in Chicago, where she resided for the last 12 years. DonnaMarie fought a strong, brave and courageous battle with cancer, along with family and friends by her side. Born on October 3, 1965, DonnaMarie was the devoted and cherished daughter of Paul J. and Filomena Russo Rotante of Stamford, CT. DonnaMarie was the light of her parents' life, who was completely devoted to her parents. DonnaMarie attended K.T. Murphy, Burdick Middle School and Westhill High School, where she graduated in 1984. She also pursued and received her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Phoenix. DonnaMarie had many interests and passions, especially when it came to travel; which is something she did for most of her life; always saving her most memorable trip was the one she took with her brother to Europe. She also had a love for photography, capturing every moment in pictures from scenic views, to holidays, to her beautiful girls. DonnaMarie also was an avid sports fanatic, rooting on the Chicago Bears no matter how many wins or losses they had each season. She was also a devoted employee of Xerox for over 15 years but she always said that her greatest job and fulfilling job was being a mom. DonnaMarie will also be best known for her "mile wide" beautiful smile that could light up a room, her quick wit and humor but last but not least, known as a dear and devoted friend to everyone who she touched in her life's journey. DonnaMarie leaves this world as an amazing and beloved mother of Giovanna and Isabella of Chicago, IL; who were DonnaMarie's entire world. A loving sister of Paul (Traci) Rotante of Stamford, CT; an affectionate and loving aunt to Tiffany (Sam) Wellington of Bridgeport, CT, Jessica and Lindsay Rotante of Stamford, CT, Kenneth, Danielle and Demi-Tylor Fecteau of Stamford, CT and great aunt to Montana, also of Stamford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, DonnaMarie would have appreciated memorial contributions made to either The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - Chicago Two Day Walk - Participant Name for donation is Jen Parrish, the , or St. Jude Children's research hospital.
A celebration of DonnaMarie's life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 12:00pm with a memorial mass at St. Benedicts Church, 21 Saint Benedict Circle, Stamford, CT 06902. In honor of DonnaMarie and to raise awareness for breast cancer, the family would love if everyone could wear Pink to the services.
