Johnna Paladino Roca, 47, of Port Chester, NY, passed away on November 8, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 28, 1966 in the Bronx to Jerry and Jean (DiMirco) Paladino. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Yonkers, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Art Education from the College of New Rochelle. She married the love of her life, Christopher Roca on October 2, 1994, and has four beautiful daughters. Johnna worked as assistant director of media and photographic services at the College of New Rochelle for 9 years. She left her career to raise her family but continued to work as a freelance photographer throughout the years. Johnna volunteered with the Parent Teacher Organizations in the Port Chester School District. She enjoyed being a Religious Education teacher and first taught at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers and later at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. Johnna was an Executive Board Member of the Port Chester High School Marching Band, and a longtime member of the Paint the Town Pink Committee which promotes breast cancer awareness and is part of the Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Center. In addition to her loving husband Christopher, and her daughters Isabella, Mikaela, Ariana and Natasha, Johnna is also survived by her father Jerry Paladino, and her three sisters Jessica (Dominick) Fortuna, Jina (Mark) Tetro, and Jaime (Max) Mobiglia, loving in-laws, 14 nieces and nephews, countless aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Jean and her brother Dominick. Johnna loved capturing memories through her photography and videography, especially of her children. Her love of life, family and friends allowed her to deeply touch many lives. She was truly loved beyond measure and will always be in our hearts. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday & Tuesday November 11 & 12, at Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester Street, Port Chester. A Mass of Christian Burial is to be held on Wednesday November 13, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester.
