Biancardi, Patsy J.
Patsy J. Biancardi, 83, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away to heaven on Monday, March 17, 2014, with his loving daughter Linda Ann by his side. Born on July 21, 1930, he was the son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Perna) Biancardi. He was predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Nadia (Ratay) Biancardi. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Ann Biancardi of Stamford, and Diane Lynn Biancardi, as well as his brother, Joseph Biancardi, Jr. and his wife Yvonne of Arizona, and his sister Mary C. Biancardi of Stamford.
As a young man, Patsy worked for the family buisness, Biancardi Bakery, delivering bread to families throughout Stamford. Patsy was a Corporal in the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was always very proud of his service to his country. After getting married, he went to work as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service, where he continued until his retirement. Patsy loved gardening, working in the backyard and being outdoors, so after his retirement he took a part time job with the Stamford Parks Department.
Patsy enjoyed photography, and was always seen with his "camera in hand" at all holiday gatherings and special events. Later in life, he became very interested in computer games and programs, and many friends and family enjoyed his personalized computer created greeting cards.
Most of all, Patsy will be remembered for his generous spirit, concern for others, and his wonderful sense of humor.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
