I think of you all the time Roger. I´m sure the rest of the gang does also. Have great memories delivering papers on Custer St, living next door to you and just hanging out. Listening to George Carlin on your record player and seeing ZZ Top in New Haven. Rest In Peace Roger.

I grew up with Roger in the 60's & 70's on Custer Street too. It was a special place and we had wonderful childhoods. (I recognize many of the posters here.) We talked about and played so much baseball. He was a dear friend and I learned so much from him. I wish I stayed in touch. I am very sorry.

In the mid-70's, I was fortunate enough to be welcomed into a group of friends – Roger, Stephanie, Michael, Maryann, Fran, Nick and Albert. It was one of the best times of my life, and Roger (affectionately “the Codge”) was a wonderful and unique person. He was friendly, philosophical, whip-smart and grounded. Texas was lucky to have him. There was no one like him and he will be truly missed.

Roger was a very dear friend and will be missed by many. Over the past 15 years, I looked forward to seeing Roger at various meetings, social functions, and grocery stores. He always had time to share a laugh or listen patiently before offering sage advice. He loved his family and spoke of you all often. May yourmemories of him give you comfort during this difficult time.

My husband, Michael and Roger were very close friends. I did not know him all that well, but I do remember a conversation we had once that stays with me all these years later. It was a simple talk, right before he left for Texas. He just had a way of making the people around him feel more comfortable and welcome. IMO, he was a true, genuine person and will be greatly missed.

Brian and Sheila,
Hopefully you remember me, but I was a friend of Roger's since grade school. He is also the reason why I'm here in Texas.
Roger was a warm caring and funny guy. I'm going to miss him so much. I posted an entry here earlier, but for some reason it didn't post.
My heartfelt condolences go out to your entire family.
