Age 89 of Horseheads, NY passed away in Lewes, Delaware on Monday July 7, 2014. Vivien was born August 14, 1924 in Lancaster, PA the daughter of the late Gilbert B. and Margaret E. Fritz Feehrer. She was a Veteran of World War II serving her country with The U. S. NAVY. She married her husband, Robert C. Green, on May 20, 1946 and he pre-deceased her on August 10, 1993. Vivien was also preceded in death by her sister Joan A. Haus. Throughout her marriage, Vivien was an active volunteer in the Republican Party of Chemung County. An avid fitness enthusiast, she found a variety of ways to stay fit over the years, including being a member of the local bowling team where she was the recipient of numerous trophies. In her later years, Vivien loved spending time with her family, friends, caregivers, and especially Chardonnay, her beloved four legged Bichon Frise companion. Mrs. Green is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law Robert B. Green & Patti Piemontese (Lewes, Delaware); daughter Terry Lynn Johnson (Brevard, North Carolina); granddaughter: Erin Elizabeth Green; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Vivien's Memorial Service Saturday July 26, 2014 at 3 PM at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY. The Rev. Wanda Copeland will officiate. Vivien will be laid to rest on Monday July 28th at 11 AM next to her beloved husband Robert, in Woodlawn National Cemetery Elmira, NY.
