BILLY RAY WILLIAMS Billy Ray Williams, 61, of Wilmington, NC started a new journey in Heaven on Aug. 27, 2013. He passed peacefully during the early hours at Autumn Care Of Myrtle Grove. A true soldier of Jesus Christ, he leaves behind a whole family of God. He had a gift and love for music and played his first musical instrument, a ukulele at age 5. He went on to sing and play guitar in the group One Nation Underground and later on played solo in many local establishments. He also had a love for martial arts and earned his 3rd degree black belt from Master Kim while in Ohio. He became an instructor of women's self defense classes while living in Carolina Beach, where he also served as a volunteer fireman. He made many friends during the 25 years of truck driving for a local dairy. The family wishes to thank Autumn Care and Edith Pearsall and Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Please e-mail memories and condolences to Atlantic Cremation Service
