ERIC AUSTIN SCHOLIN
Eric Austin Scholin, 88, of Leland, NC, passed away peacefully at Hospice & LifeCareCenter with family at his side on Feb. 14, 2012. He was born in Jamestown, NY, on Jan. 30th, 1924.
"Austy" was a Navy veteran and proudly served his country during WWII. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gladys Scholin, daughter Cindy Ferch (Ken) and granddaughter Lauren of Waukesha, WI, and daughter Terri Pudney (Skip) and grandchildren Amanda and Alex of Leland, NC.
The family wishes to acknowledge the care and support he received from UNC Neurosciences Hospital and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice. A private family memorial is planned.
