Lemmer, Frederic (Skip) Edward Fred, 72, passed away on February 22, 2013 in Seattle, Washington. He was born at Coco Solo Naval Hospital while his father was stationed in Panama's Canal Zone on November 25, 1940. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lemmer; his sisters, Sandra Faust and Joan Ostrin, his daughters, Carolyn and Jennifer and his beloved grandchildren, Jasper, Skyler and Michael. He graduated from Central High School in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1958 and entered the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus (U of M). He interrupted his studies to serve in the United States Air Force for four years beginning in 1963. He returned to the U of M and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked for Honeywell and Alliant Tech Systems in and around Minneapolis for many years. He loved to read, fish, play cards and spend time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit, quirky jokes and his big heart. A longtime resident of Minneapolis, he recently relocated with his wife to Seattle, Washington to be closer to his daughters and their families. He will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Ballard First Lutheran Church, 2006 NW 65th St., Seattle, WA 98117 on March 7, 2013 at 2 PM.
